I booked an appointment with Penny for a makeup tutorial. I have always suffered with break outs whenever I try new products and have been too nervous to try anything new. I also wanted some impartial advice, as most counters/shops you go to only try and sell you their product. Penny made me feel very welcome from the moment I arrived. She asked me about what I was wanting from the session and she listened to my concerns and had some great advice. First of all she talked me through what she was going to do, then she applied the make up for me, talking me through what she was doing as she went and checking I was happy with it. We then took it all off and I had a go! This was really useful as I could see what I was doing and ask if I was doing it correctly at each step. I was so delighted with the results. I have never managed to get my eyes right and they looked amazing when I had finished. We tried a couple of different looks and I now feel happy to do this myself. It was lovely to be told about products from all price brackets, which then makes it more achievable. You can then pick and choose what you want to spend your money on. I had a lovely email outlining everything we discussed with a detailed product list. Thank you so much Penny, I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending you to anybody.

I’m 46 and had hit a beauty dead-zone. I had enjoyed wearing makeup in my twenties but I knew my current makeup routine wasn't really helping me so I’d just been wearing less for the past few years. I booked a makeup masterclass with Penny and I’m so glad I did. It's a bit like rewriting everything you thought you knew about makeup and skincare. Penny showed me the colours that would make my eyes and cheeks pop, plus the right technique and tool for every job and why this makes a difference. Plus I really do need to double cleanse when wearing foundation - my skin looks brighter already from this! I also loved the follow up info sheet which was personalised for me. It's quite a lot to take in on the day so it was great to have all the brush and cosmetic recommendations in print. The masterclass would be a lovely gift for someone who has lost their sparkle; Penny's gentle manner would make everyone feel most welcome too.

I did a makeup lesson with Penny and it was great. She was so easy to talk to, gave great advice and listened to the style I wanted. Penny went through my current makeup and discussed what worked for my skin and options for other products. She then applied my makeup, showing me step by step what to do. Finally we started again and she watched as I did it. I am so happy with the look. Total game changer. Plus the follow up notes will be invaluable so I remember all the steps.

I wanted to overhaul my makeup (both the type of makeup and how to apply it!) after basically doing the same thing for 20 years. I contacted Penny and she was wonderful. We had a really useful initial chat about what I already had and what I was looking to achieve. She then sent me a 3 page document with suggestions of makeup and kit to buy. This was then followed up by a virtual make up lesson. I loved going back to school and learning some new techniques. I felt confident in trying them again the next day and really love the effect. Penny was also really happy to answer questions a few days afterwards, which was brilliant follow up.

Having never really worn makeup (and never really knowing what I was doing on the rare occasion that I have attempted to wear it) I knew that I wanted, and needed, some professional help! After communicating just how much of a novice I was, Penny was incredible and went right back to basics with me, slowly going through the process with such patience and kindness. She put me at complete ease, first demonstrating what to do and then guiding me through each step when I applied the makeup myself. After my lesson was over, Penny sent me a really comprehensive list of products and techniques so that I would be able to recreate the same two looks at home. I thoroughly enjoyed my makeup lesson and would recommend Penny without hesitation.

At the grand old age of 56 I decided it was time I learned how to apply makeup properly. Penny very patiently took me through a basic makeup routine that I’m sure I’ll be able to replicate at home. She then followed up with a list of products and instructions on how to use them. I’m so glad I found her - I wish I’d done this years ago, she’s made me look a thousand times better!

I had a fantastic video call make up tutorial with Penny. I only discovered makeup a few years ago and I was spending an increasing amount of money on it with no real idea how to get the results that I wanted or what I really needed, what to use to apply the makeup etc. I picked up so many fabulous tips, from how to use various brushes, what brushes to use for what, where to apply the makeup to get the results that I wanted and where I was going wrong. I am very excited to buy some products that will actually be of use and to use the techniques that Penny told me about. It was an amazing service and is brilliant value for money.
